Sauvignon Blanc -Marlborough
An expressively interesting aroma of white flowers, citrus and ripe tropical summer fruits. The palate is focused and concentrated showing ripe fruits and citrus characters with an attractive texture and balanced acidity.92 Points
"…this is more about texture, density and length." - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Chardonnay - North Canterbury2018 Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Chardonnay
Slightly hazy appearance with a golden lemon hue. Attractive nose with Nashi pear and citrus fruits, with an underlying savoury complexity. The palate is vibrant with tension and length, showing a nice mixture of bright fruit and savoury elements that North Canterbury is renowned for.92 Points
"Complex and elegant, with pear, peach and yellow apple flavors that are sleek and satiny.” - Wine Spectator
Orange – North Canterbury2020 Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Orange
Luminous peach/ copper hue, with a reassuring, organic, light haze. Lifted floral aromas leap out of the glass along with orange rind and an earthy complexity. Lovely fine phenolics fill the mouth giving great weight and a moreish texture to the wine. Orange rind, Campari/ Negroni like flavours follow. A great wine to accompany a variety of tapas-style foods.93 Points
"Full-bodied, approachable and welcoming, with refreshing acidity and an appealing bitter twist." - Vinous
Pinot Noir – Central Otago2018 Pyramid Valley Central Otago Pinot Noir
Medium dark purple with clear hues. Fragrant blackberry and raspberry with hints of liquorice, black pepper and clove. Sweet red plum, cherry and spice. Richly textured with lovely minerality. Complex with a long and silky sweet berry finish.94 Points
"It really comes to life on the palate, which is both vivacious and structured. Elegant, poised and highly drinkable." - Wine Enthusiast
Pinot Noir – North Canterbury2016 Angel Flower Pinot Noir
Dense, sustained ruby/garnet. Dizzyingly aromatic, swells from the glass: indurate spice – clove, cumin, caraway, cassia; ripe and bright red fruit – raspberry, redcurrant, Morello cherry. Quite a head-spinning, aromatic ride. Penetrating, juicy, sappy, brisk yet enveloping; vibrant flavours of red fruit and spice; also a lively earthy component that is relatively new to this vineyard, arriving in recent vintages: born of vine age and a deeper root structure, no doubt. One could hardly ask for a more invigorating, seductive, and briskly legitimate example of this wine.
Botanical Collection – North CanterburyPyramid Valley Botanical Collection 4-pack presentation case
The story of our Botanical Collection is rooted in the foundations of our Waikari Estate in North Canterbury. The initial plantings were arranged by Mike and Claudia Weersing according to specific minute changes in soil composition between the unique limestone and clay particles. These changes reflected the decision to plant either Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Interestingly, the meadow growing in each parcel was also different, with different species of meadow plants being present. These parcels have been named according to the dominant botanicals in the meadows from their beginnings as a vineyard in 2000, and since their release in 2006 they have created a new dimension for fine New Zealand wine, illustrating the incredible impact of this remarkable vineyard on the sense of wine. They are wines that truly breathe of their place.

Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough2021 Smith & Sheth CRU Wairau Sauvignon Blanc
Wonderful aromatics of lime, passionfruit and a warm summer meadow. Lovely delicious palate brimming with gooseberry, fresh lime, and hints of ripe nectarine finishing with a lovely long feel of the stony soils and refreshing salty acidity.92 Points
"There are pure Sauvignon Blanc flavors, but of the less flamboyant kind: elderflower, nettle, lime and the merest note of flint.” - Vinous
Chardonnay - Hawke's Bay2020 Smith & Sheth CRU Heretaunga Chardonnay
A clean and bright pale straw colour. Fruit flavours of citrus, ripe grapefruit and nectarine. Mid-weight in style with elegant oak present, adding texture and complexity of flavour. The structure is focused yet nicely fleshy with great concentration. It displays delicacy, but the richness and beautifully linear acidity make it a fantastic match with food.95 Points
"A powerful satin texture is contrasted by a core of fruit, flavours of new and mild toasted barrel. Refreshing, lengthy and complex." - Decanter
Pinot Noir - Central Otago2019 Smith & Sheth CRU Kawarau Pinot Noir
Deep plum with purple hues. Bright aromatics of blackberry, plum, black cherry, aniseed, liquorice, cloves and violets. Silky entry of ripe plum and blackberry with a savoury chocolaty backbone. Fine grained tannin and a mineral acidity lead to a long and balanced finish with good focus.92 Points
